The brief
What it reads for.
The dialogue specialist. Listens for character voice differentiation (can readers tell who's speaking without the tags?), subtext, beats weaving with action, and the small tells that mark dialogue doing real work versus filling space.
Best for chapters where character interaction carries the load - arguments, confessions, reveals, intimate scenes. Less useful for quiet interior chapters or pure action sequences.
You can add your own instructions on top if you'd like to focus the read (e.g. "my villain keeps sounding like my hero" or "watch my exposition habit").
